Throughout the site you might notice points where I get on my soapbox and rant about something, why
you ask, because stupidity pisses me off and people can say some stupid things.
Often this is unfairly directed at Wiccans, when it's probably not a full fledged Wiccan sending
me an annoying Southern Baptist minded email, however I do feel the need to voice off a couple of things. So here is my little
apology to Wiccans...sorry.
First off, I am not Wiccan, I never was, nor will I ever be. I think Wiccans have more
rules to follow than the Christian Church.
Rules and I do not mix well. Daily life has enough rules attached to it, I don't want to hear
about more rules when I am trying to find peace along a path that is considered nature based...nature doesn't give me any
rules, it lets me freestyle ;)
I don't want to hear that I NEED a specific tool, I AM THE TOOL, everything else is just an assistor
to help me focus. I don't NEED an altar, the countertop ANYWHERE will do, why because I AM THE TOOL that moves the energy,
I meld it, I manifest it, I control the intent. Not an athame, or some new fangled wand that cost a fortune. YES these items
are beautiful, they are wonderful, are they a neccessity, to me ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NOT. Do I have them....some yes. Do
I use them....not really.
Secondly I am a witch first, Pagan second. What exactly does that mean....I practice alot of magick,
I study alot of magick and I probably don't pay as much attention to the "religious" aspects of it as a "Pagan first, witch
second person" might.
Magick is my religion, everything else along my path that I pick up is just a bonus to the wonders
of weaving to me.
Some only weave as a final resort, I weave and weave and weave some more.
Am I affecting others free will, possibly, are they affecting mine...if I don't weave first they
might. Does this mean I curse and hex away. NO! Why? Because magick is sacred to me, the greatest gift I hold and I will treat
it as such. I was taught magick before I had an inkling of what a Pagan is. Imagine how happy I was when I found out there
was a "religion" that actually promoted witchcraft!
Do I mumble little spells over my morning coffee, yes....do I cleanse my spirit in the shower....always.
Do I wish negativity away whenever I run water....yes. It's my lifestyle and it's all day everyday for moi.
Third of all I do not believe in the the threefold law backfiring in my face if I practice magick
that might be considered any color other than "white" . I find the threefold law completely contradictory to everything I
was ever taught. If I am a witch, empowered to protect myself and those I love, if I hold and control the power
than how would something be able to come back and "get" me.
It just doesn't make any sense at all, to me it's complete POPPYCOCK ( that word makes me giggle
I had to throw it in).
I'm protected remember? I'm a witch, witches protect themselves! That's a KEY POWER POINT!
What kind of digbat witch runs around weaving without protection. AND how could you possibly protect
against something you know nothing about, or don't care to know anything about, or don't understand....at least that's how
I was raised. I cannot understand the "white" magick, without understand the "black" magick as well.
Sounds cocky I know, but when I do a spell there is no doubt within me, and therefore only what I
put intently into it is what goes in. DOUBT JACKS SPELLS UP. NOTHING WILL JACK A SPELL UP AND MAKE IT ALL CRAZY QUICKER
THAN DOUBT.
And that brings me to my fourth and final point (for the moment at least). If you're trying a spell
and it's just not working STOP. LISTEN. The universe is telling you something, if you would settle down for a minute it will
tell you how to proceed. If you are doing a spell and you're not "sure" of yourself it's called DOUBT. NOTHING WILL JACK UP
A SPELL AND MAKE IT ALL CRAZY QUICKER THAN DOUBT!
It doesn't matter if you forgot something an forgot to cut a "doorway" in your circle, trust
me you can still go in and out of the "circle" if that makes you nervous explain to whomever you called in on the circle and
cut a "door" go get what you need and move on.
You know what I do when I forget something while I'm doing a spell, I growl and I go get it.
That's it...it's that simple. If you knock over your chalice....pick it up and drive on. Don't think "OMG I screwed it all
up"....because thinking that is what's going to screw it up. Focus and focus and focus some more. Know that you are the tool
to move the energy, you control the energy, you move the energy and you send it on it's way. That is what weaving is. Learn
to control, empower and direct energy...without doubt...lol. Had to get that in there.
