Governs : Security, survival, trust,
the relationship with money, home, job. Ability to be grounded, to be present in the here and now. Ability to allow one's
self to be nourished, in the sense of allowing one's Inner Being to be satisfied. This chakra also reflects a person's connection
with their mother, and with Mother Earth. How the person feels about being on the earth. Connection with the physical body.
Parts of the Body : Adrenals, skeleton system (teeth, spine,
bones), the prostate gland in men, colon, the bladder and elimination system, legs, ankles, feet, sense of smell.
Balanced :
Centered, grounded,
healthy, fully alive, unlimited physical energy, can manifest abundance.
Overactive:
Egoistic,
domineering, greedy, sadistic, sexual energy entirely genital.
Underactive:Lack
of confidence weak, always feeling judged, can't achieve goals, suicidal, feel unloved, little interest in sex, masochistic.
The Spleen Chakra, aka: Sensation Center, Hara, Svadhisthana
Color : Orange
Location: 1 to 2 inches below navel
Element : Water
Sense : Taste
Gems and Minerals:Carnelian,
coral, amber.
Governs: This chakra is also associated
with the emotional body, and the person's willingness to feel their emotions.It
is about friendliness, creativity, sexuality, emotions and intuition on the gut level. It influences how
our emotions were expressed or repressed during childhood. The spleen chakra is the sexual
center for women.
Parts of
the Body:Skin, kidney, mammary glands. reproductive system, sexual organs, spleen.
Balanced
energy: Friendly, concerned for others, sense of
belonging, intuitive,
good sense of humour, radiating warmth and compassion towards others.
Overactive: Emotionally explosive, overly ambitious, manipulative, caught up in illusions, overindulgent, excessive sexual energy,
treating others as sex objects.
Underactive energy : Shy, timidness, immobilized by fear,overly sensitive, self negating, burdened by guilt, sexual
energy-clinging, guilty about having sex, frigid or impotent.
The Solar Plexus Chakra, aka : Power Center, Manipura
Color: Yellow
Location : Solar Plexus,
below the breast
Element : Fire
Sense : Eyesight

Citrine, gold topaz, amber, tiger eye, gold calcite, and gold
Governs: Perceptions
concerned with power, control, freedom, the ease with which one is able to be themselves - ease of being. Mental activity
and the mental body is also associated with this chakra. The solar plexus chakra is also associated with ego.
Parts of the Body: The muscular system, the skin as a system, the solar plexus, the large intestine, stomach,
liver, and other organs and glands in the region of the solar plexus, eye, and the face, figuratively the face one shows
the world.
Balanced :
Outgoing, cheerfulness, ones self-respect, respectfullness of others,
strong sense of personal power, skillful, intelligent, relaxed, spontaneous, expressive,
taking on new challenges,
enjoy physical activities and good food.
Overactive
: Judgmental,
workaholic, perfectionistic, overly intellectual,
may need drugs to relax, sexually inhibited, can't show emotional warmth.
Underactive : Depressed, lack of confidence, worry about what others think, confused, poor digestion,
afraid of being alone, sexually insecure, needing constant reassurance, jealous, distrustful
The Heart Chakra, aka : Living Love Center, Anahata
Color : Emerald green
Location : Center of the chest
Element : Air
Sense : Touch
Gems and Minerals :Emerald, green and pink tourmaline, malachite, green jade, green adventurine, rosequartz.
Governs : Perceptions of love, relationships
and relating with others close to your heart, i.e. partners, siblings, parents, children. Sensitivity. Difficulty breathing,
or with the lungs.
Parts of the body : The heart and the blood circulatory system, and the cardiac
plexus, as well as the lungs, chest area and immune system.
Balanced : Compassionate, empathetic, humanitarian, seeing/looking for the good in
everyone, a strong desire to nurture others, outgoing, in touch with feelings, sexual energy-can surrender and merge in a
love relationship, can wait for the right partner.
Overactive : Demanding, extremly critical,
possessive, moody, melodramatic, manic-depressive, jealousness, using money or sex to control others. Martyr, withholding love to get the desired behavior and
being very conditional with love.
The Throat Chakra, aka
: Cornucopia Center, Visuddha
Color : Sky or Turquoise Blue
Location : Throat
Element : Ether ( the crossover between the physical world and the world of Spirit )
Sense : Hearing
Gems and Minerals : Turquoise, chrysocolla,
blue topaz, aquamarine.
Governs : Emotions of expressing and receiving. Communicating what one wants and feels, or artistic expression, using a form for expressing and bringing
to the outside what was within. Listening to one's intuition, which guides one in an optimal flow, in which one sees one's
goals manifest, and it seems that the Universe provides all their needs with no effort on their part at all. Abundance is
associated with this chakra, as is the aspect of unconditional receiving necessary to accept the abundance of the Universe.
Parts of the body: Throat ,neck, arms and hands. The brachial
or cervical plexus.
Balanced energy: contented, centered, lives in the present, great sense of timing, good speaker, artistic, can
meditate and easily experience
Divine Energy. Can experience bliss through meditation.
Overactive : arrogant, self-righteous, talk too much,
dogmatic, addictive personality, prefers partners who can be dominated.
The Brow Chakra, aka : Consciousness Awareness Center, Third Eye, Ajna
Color : Indigo
Location : center of forehead
Element : telepathic or
electrical energy
Sense : ESP
or Extra Sensory
Perception, all of the inner senses corresponding to the outer senses, which together are considered spirit-to-spirit communication.
These include, clairvoyance (inner sense of vision), clairaudience (inner sense of hearing), clairsentience (inner sense of
touch), etc.

Governs : Deeper

The Crown Chakra, aka : Cosmic Consciousness

Sense : Cosmic energy, empathy
Gems and Minerals : Amethyst, diamond, sugilite, purple fluorite,
quartz crystal.
Governs : Our consciousness concerned with perceptions of
unity or separation. Oneness between self and Divine.

Balanced : Can transcend
the laws of nature, total access to the unconscious and the subconscious
Overactive : Constant
feelings of frustration, unrealized power, psychotic, depressed, manic-depressive, migraines, destructiveness, see-sawing
between feeling passionate and feeling distant.
